Ancient Eliki
Eliki was an ancient city in ancient Achaia. It was founded by the Ionians and was located 40 steps from Aigio and 12 steps (2.2 km) from the sea. It was the capital of the Ionian Dodecapolis and the worship center of all Achaia where the temple of Ellikos Poseidon was the focal point. Eliki became a cultural and religious center with its own currency.
